Hi everyone! This is MJP writer Misaki!
The other weekend, Kanako and I went to THE Japan summer festival, which would be SUMMER SONIC 2010 in Tokyo for live coverage. (^-^) Of course there were Japan's popular artists, as well as a premium line-up of performers from overseas at the event as well. Are there some of you who have heard of it, even if just by the name of it?
However, as the event was held at the beginning of August, the two days scheduled right for the middle of summer were certainly hot! (laughs) Much like outdoor festivals, it was extreme...extremely good weather.

They did a Bill Hicks tribute last night.
I'm going to try to podcast-archive it. If anyone is on a Mac and wants to "tape" it to their hard drive using Audio Hijack or something, that would rock.
In any event, I will try to cover a lot of ground between what I consider 'real' MODERN (post-2001) hc/punk and stuff that links it to the culturally subversive rock 'n roll, garage rock, etc., tradition at-large.

New here hi! ^^ Anyway...
Does anyone have music of the band COIN LOCKER BABIES? I think they're from the 80s so very old by now. Wonder if anyone here knows them at all.
I also search for more music from COW COW. They're the side-project of the band COBRA (somewhat in the 90s) and did a remake of their song 'Tokyo Riot' which is one of my favorite jpunk songs at the moment.

World Burns to Death's new LP, Graveyard of Utopia is now only officially available on CD from HG Fact Records, Japan. Recorded in Tokyo, it has cameo appearances on nearly every song from members of Forward, Paintbox, Judgement, Bastard, Deathside, and Tetsu Arei on it. I think it may be the last recording Japanese hc guitarist Chelsea made before he passed away; he plays guitar on almost 1/2 the tracks.
 Package from HG Fact, Japan. Selling 8 of these.
 Random copies will include some of these in-store flyer/promos, but I only have a very small amount of these left. I will try to include extras in every package, though.
